2025-2026 Dance Classes

We offer a comprehensive tap program (beginner through advanced) that covers the wide range of tap styles, from vintage Broadway-style tap to the newest trends in rhythm tap.

Tap dance is about footwork, rhythm, and taking dance beyond the visual to the auditory. We teach dancers how to use their feet as percussive instruments to create sounds as they dance, and our tap classes stress the key elements of timing, rhythm, and musicality.

Our 2025-2026 dance year is divided into two sessions: Session 1 runs September 8, 2025, through January 17, 2026, and Session 2 runs February 9, 2026, through June 6 or 13, 2026. Please note that the ages listed for each class are as of September 1, 2025, and that while we use age as an initial placement tool, there is fluidity in class placement. Our teachers are constantly observing and evaluating the progress of all of our students and will bring it to the director’s attention if a student would be better suited in another class, even if the student’s age doesn’t fit the listed age range. Also please note that when registering for class, if a student’s age fits the age range for two different classes of the same type (for example, a 7-year-old who could be in the age 5 to 7 Intro class or the age 7 to 9 Debut class), you should only consider registering that student for the older class if he/she has at least one full year of formal training in that particular style of dance. It is always better to start out in the younger class and be asked to move up rather than starting out in the older class and be asked to move down.
